Directly in front of today’s Römerhof Hotel once stood a Roman guardhouse. Archaeological evidence, such as an engraved Roman jug and arrow-slit-like openings in the wall, indicates that two Roman roads converged here – one from Clarenna (now Bad Cannstatt) and the other from Sumelocenna (now Rottenburg).
Later, the building was called the “Vaihinger Käppele” (Vaihingen Chapel). Such structures were often converted into chapels as an act of gratitude after surviving epidemics. It remains interesting to note that around 1500, the maintenance of the chapel was assumed by the Bishops of Augsburg – a small historical puzzle.
In 1936, the guardhouse was demolished despite its protected status as a historical monument. In 1948, our Hotel Römerhof and the Käppele Restaurant were built on the site, where we revive the history of the location with modern service, Swabian-Mediterranean cuisine, and a cozy atmosphere.

If the invoice should be issued to a company address, we kindly ask you to check with the reception before your departure day to ensure we have the correct details.
Cost Coverage:
• A fee of €5.00 will be charged for cost coverage.
• Acceptance only by e-mail (previously communicated address) and only within Germany.
• The cost coverage must be submitted in writing at least 24 hours prior to arrival.
• If the company is already registered as a debtor: cost coverage may also be submitted during the stay, but no later than 24 hours prior to departure.
• The declaration must be in writing and must clearly state which costs will be covered.
Early departure outside opening hours:
• Please settle your bill the day before departure.
• Leave your room key in the room.
• Make sure you have not left any personal belongings behind.
Chargers for various electronic devices as well as international socket adapters are available on request at our reception.
Allergy-friendly bed linen is available at our reception on request.
Our baby equipment includes high chairs in the restaurant, a changing table in the public restrooms, and baby cots available on request (please inform us at least 24 hours before your arrival if needed).
We are happy to provide bathrobes for your stay.

You are welcome to refuel your e-vehicle at our e-filling station. Please report to the reception, here you will get access to the charging station. Please note that a fee of 0.50€ per kWh will be charged. If you forget to check out, we reserve the right to charge a flat fee of 50€. Please do not charge your vehicle, e-bike, or other devices at the charging station or any other power outlets without prior permission. In case of non-compliance, we reserve the right to charge a flat fee of 50 €.

and in the center of Stuttgart. The “Breuningerland”
shopping center is at your disposal in Sindelfingen.
The Römerhof is located near the University of Vaihingen.
Wonderful forests and meadows begin directly behind the university and you can walk or cycle to our Hotel Kulinarium an der Glems, Bärensee, Katzenbacher See or even to Stuttgart city center.

Pets are very welcome. We ask for your understanding that pets are not allowed in the breakfast room during breakfast due to the food that is openly presented. You are welcome to bring your darling with you on a leash, but not on our chairs or benches.
Please place your animal under the table. You can find wonderful walks described under “Footpaths and hiking trails”. For a short lap, go left or right on the opposite side of the street, you will find plenty of green spaces here. We trust in your responsible behavior. Please dispose of your pet’s excrement in plastic bags in the garbage can (in the parking garage or in the office buildings).
Hygiene products such as toothbrush, toothpaste, disposable razor and shaving cream are available at our reception.

The Stuttgart exhibition centre is the hub for the strongly export-oriented economy in Baden-Württemberg.
In about 20 minutes you can reach the exhibition grounds by vehicle on the A8 motorway in the direction of Munich or via the north-south bypass road and by public transport.

We are happy to take your laundry for cleaning.
At the reception you can get laundry slips with prices and laundry bags. We also offer you the opportunity to wash and iron your laundry yourself in the basementof the hotel building. You need € 4 in 50 cent pieces per wash cycle including drying. Portioned detergents are available on request at reception for € 2 per wash. Please do not iron in your hotel room / apartment, an iron and ironing board are available for this in the basement of the adjoining building/hotel.
